In the recent months, your mailboxes have filled up with various emails from companies informing you about the policy updating and asking you to confirm receiving further marketing emails. But what’s it all about and what does it have to do with us?

What is GDPR?

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a new law on data protection and privacy for all individuals within the EU citizens. It also provides individuals with new rights in relation to how your personal data is collected, used and stored and provides new rules for organizations on how to handle personal data.

What are we doing about GDPR?

GateHub wanted to let our users know that we are updating our Data Protection Policy to align with the European Union’s new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), effective as of Friday, May 25, 2018.

To help break this down and make it easier for you to find out what we do here, we’ve changed our Data Protection Policy which covers all of the services that you use with GateHub, including details about:

- Which personal information we collect and use

- How we keep your personal information safe

- The legal basis we rely on to use your information

- Cookie policy

A requirement of General Data Protection Regulation is also that a customer agrees to continue receiving emails on product updates, promotions and new features. If you are a GateHub user and would like to receive aforementioned emails please choose the opt-in option in the email you received or log-in to your GateHub account and choose your preference.
